Editing

Need some help with a manuscript? As a writer myself I can sympathise. A good editor, one who can work with you and your writing, is invaluable. With my own writing I’ve been extremely lucky to have worked with someone close to me who has a wealth of experience and the skills required. From working with her on my own work and on other writers’ projects I’ve learned a lot over the years.

Before any commitment (or money being spent) by either party, I’ve found it’s always best to first read the manuscript to see if it’s something I can be sympathetic to. If it is, then doing a trial edit of a few thousand words should reveal whether or not the author and I can work effectively and constructively together.

What does it cost? How long is the proverbial piece of string? Is it fiction or non-fiction, scholarly or coffee-table? It costs whatever fulfills both these conditions: a) the writer can afford it and sees value in the process, and b) the editor feels they are properly rewarded for their efforts. Which should be true for any editing service.

It costs nothing to find out if I can help you with your manuscript, so if you’re interested then please get in touch by clicking here.
